I’m notorious for painting over paintings. Sometimes they were collabs; usually it was me trying to impress a date without wanting to use up an actual fresh canvas.

It was an MO to use the few qualities that were in my favor.

This was a painting I was trying to forget an awfully damp basement I lived in that was ruining my hardbound books. I created the texture from the foam mix that comes out of fire extinguishers.
